Sense im new to craigslist can you get scam messages cause my email messages that are from different people are same in text word for word
then its says watch this video and download it!:irked::nilly:about the tank im selling

Yes u can get scam messages most of them are if it has some sort of link.

just ignor it if it looks funny

Craigslist IMO Is best for buying tanks and not selling them. I try to check out craigslist daily and snipe any good tanks I see but if your tank isn't super cheap then it may go unnoticed. You may have better luck putting up an ad for sale here in the marketplace. I know a lot of aquarists are from SoCal on here.

yeah craigslist good for buying tanks but not selling
Im selling a 60 gallon tall for 375
with stand lids light kit and black and purple gravel
with some convict fry

That's way way too much for a 60 gallon tank even with all the accessories. About your problem though, just ask them to put something in the title of the e-mail so you know it's a person and not spam. Somethin like please put Fish
tank in SoCal

Yeah... I got a lot of those type of e-mails when I was trying to help my mom sell her car. Just ignore them and dont reply.

you can get a 55 tank for $100 brand new. If you want people to buy your stuff, you need to make it desirable. ~$375 for a tank that is worth $100 new means no one will buy.

If they are going to pay retail, it won't be for your used stuff. So, take the retail price, cut it in half, and there is a good starting point. Older obviously is worth less. Chances are you will get a nibble around the 150 range.

Doubtful anyone wants convict fry, but maybe you get lucky with that.
