Your call, but I wouldn't.

I had one cracked for 2 mo.'s w/o a prob. and one that cracked, then fell apart after it came back on for 3 min.

I'm not really feeling the idea of putting the heater back in. I might just leave it and hope for the best. Hate to do it.

One option I do have is putting all the inhabitants in a 75 gallon that I have up and running iwth a 3 inch RTC.
The fish are 3" JD
4" GT
5"Syno Cat

Do you think I could leave the heater on overnight? I took it out to inspect and rubbed a knife against the glass and the knife barely got stuck. Do you think it will still be tight from water just for 12 hours?

WW not open 24/7 huh? WOW, you can't hardly find my podunk town on a map and we got 5 of trhe dang things,,,all 24/7...go figure.

The inhabitant list looks like they can take a little cool water, as long as it's not a sudden one.

The halogen will work but not too close, and just use a blindfold for yourself :D .

Human heating pads can only be used on the side of a tank never the bottom (hot :character0087: spots, that's why the instructions say not to lay on them).

Best of luck, got my fingers crossed for ya.

Ok, while i'm posting your posting :D ...

Can you put a divider in the 75?

I could definitely add a divider if I need to. Thanks for all your help btw.

The closest Walmart to me is well over an hour away too!!! Go figure. On an Island thats only 130 miles long and 25 miles wide it sure doesn't have enough walmarts haha I go upstate to my grandmothers and they're all over the place!

I say don't sweat over it. First, water cools very slow. Secondly, with your room being heated (is it over 70F?) your fish will be all right. I've kept doviis and arowanas in room temperature without problems (72F).

That sounds cool then. My house is around 74 degrees and its usually hot in my room at night anyway. Wish me luck! and thanks for the help everyone:headbang2

Ok, it's almost 5:30am...why aren't you up rubbing the sides of the tank to keep it warm?!
