CRAP!!!

Why in the hell do my rays crap so much?!!! They crap more than any other fish I've ever had. If I add up the day's crap it would have to be like half a human log! I just did a water change and now there's like 4 more turds floating around. I guess it wouldnt be so gross if it looked like a molly's turd...but when the rays $hit...you know its $hit!!!

I think it's just rays in general; mine does the same thing; Since I pick him up i always have crap on the bottom of the tank. I just did a 10% water change last night vacuumed all the crap just this morning there it was more crap. I went to work and just got home and guess what CRAP, CRAP and more CRAP. Oh well that how it goes I guess.
 
What do you feed your rays? My ray craps a ton as usual but it dissolves very quickly in the water and in fact never piles up for me to have to vac out. I feed mine a diet of about 80% shrimp BTW.

Mines is still a youngun it's only taking frozen blood worms right now.

Hi,

add some Cichlids or so, my rays are big and I never have problems with teh crap.

Perhaps your Filtration is too small.

But be carefull, I sold all my Panaque, because tehy make more Crap then any other fish !

Your Filter and tankbottom will be full small wood-pieces, i hated it.
 
haha ya stingrays do crap a lot. for mines i just leave it and over the days they disolve and get filtered.
 
Well mine are babies too and only take bloodworms...well I got one to take nightcrawlers. I'm overfiltering by 40 gallons and I would leave it alone if it didnt look so gross. It doesnt blend in well against the black sand.
