crappie anyone?

caught these today in about 2 hrs of fishing. threw back about 15 smaller ones. enjoy. probably go back tomorrow and catch some more. going to keep one to put in one of my tanks.

well personally my favorite tasty fish are yellow perch, walleye,crappie.
doesnt get much better then that.

Where you fishing? I don't get crappies that big near me often but have caught bluegills that size.

Lol, I went over to southern USA from Australia, to visit my girlfriend (now fiance), and her grandma was talking about catching Crappie, but with her accent it sounded like "croppy" so when I came home I was looking on the net for "croppy" I finally found out it was "crappie", I was snickering for about 5 minutes, lol.

Nice stringer. My girlfreinds son and I caught about 100 crappie each the other day. It was one on every cast, for like five hours. It was crazy. Didn't keep any, I won't clean little fish. It has to be over 28 inches for me to bother with. A couple of years ago, I found this little hole on the pocomoke river. I was fishing little poppers. If you cast up against a tree stump, you would get nothing. If you hit the tree stump, you would get a crappie at least 16" long. Every time. Caught 12 of em, biggest was like 18". Biggest crappie I've ever seen.
