Shipping isn't too bad. I was just in Minnesota this weekend and shipped 1 black crapppie and 1 LMB down to Texas next day UPS for $60. I really need to move back there, the LFS sell lots of natives.

You're gonna give fish shipping a bad name.....try $9 for 2-3 day. or even $30 for overnight! I could have sent 4 of each for $ 30!

Edit: watch out for violating the VHS transit laws. They can hit you pretty hard for a violation and I'd not want to take the risk.

haha yeah it seem like too much hastle..i woudln't of done it..

and besides the net is cheaper and you'll be able to get more fish!

Does USPS ship $30 overnight? Do fish make it 3 days? I haven't had a fish take longer than 2, so I have no idea if they would make it. It was also on a Friday, so I didn't think the fish would make it until Monday. I have had some bad luck with USPS here, mainly because I am in an apartment. Man, I feel like I just threw money away. Thanks Teleost.:irked:

Check out USPS rate calculator.

UPS tends to be a bit more reliable but they make pay through the nose.
USPS priority works pretty well with breather bags at cool temps. Sometimes priority deliveries can take three days (depending on distance).

I caught a 2 inch lmb before. I threw it back because it was a young of the year and I didn't keep natives at that time. (plus it's illegal to take undersized game fish) The yellow perch were yummy though
