Crappy old cube

I'm kinda determined to have my shrimp breed in this more, since they haven't been in the other tanks they were in. Though you're right, haven't ruled it out for a betta ;)

Funny you say your shrimp aren't breeding yet??? How long have they been in the tank for, and what are you feeding them??? Also what temps are the tank water at???

Coz you should in theory be seeing action by now...

it's my fault really, I haven't given them time to settle! :P

plan on leaving them in the cube though and not fussing with them, I think a lot of my problems arise due to the open topped tanks evaporating, therefore top-ups (even with RO) tends to adjust the tds; which the shrimp aren't overly fond of.

Hoping that since the cube has sliding glass door lid, it'll cut down on evap; and therefore me interfering with it

I was wondering about that lol. I hate evaporation

Thats true too, having stable parameters makes a big difference... Then its a matter of keeping them fed well and waiting... Temps of around 26'C seems to help promote cherries breed as well...
