Crappy Thread

I've learned that clear feces in fish is usually an indicator of parasite or disease but I was wondering if there were any other colors in feces I should be on the look out for. My Green Terrors 'business' usually is a brick red color, is this normal?


Sorry if people find this thread gross but I'm just trying to establish as many ways possible to gauge the health and conditions of my fish.

My GT's is about a brick redish color. Most of the pellets are a reddish color I feed Him.

your fish's poop should be a similar colour to what ever you feed it.

Yeah, come to think of it the coloring is almost identical to the hikari carnivore pellets. Thanks guys

my cichlids get a peachy colour or a red pellet, so there "stuff" comes out red, when i feed them brown foods it comes our brown, it all depends on what you feed them. IF IT MOVES YOU HAVE PROBLEMS...
