Crawdad/crayfish

If you put dwarf crayfish with them they will be eaten. And if you put a regular crayfish, its a risk. The crayfish could harm your fish and its also in danger of being killed/eaten too.

Ok what do the dwarf crays look like the ones I seen was ok size they were like brownish I think

LFS proabbly wouldnt have dwarf crays. Dwrf crays dont grow over an inch and a half. IMO, dwrf crays should only be with smaller fish that can not eat them, and they will not harm the fish either, and they are shrimp safe too. The bigger crays are risky. Fish that are too big will kill/eat the cray. But the cray can harm your fish too. Regular crays are best kept alone IMO.

I'd say go for it! I've had my Cray for almost 2 years now, currently in with 7 large silver dollars and a pleco. He likes to fight for territory with the pleco now and again but nothing serious really, the plec can more than handle himself in the ring. Silver dollars are way to big and fast for him and mostly swim in the middle of the tank. He does have a liking for chowing on little tetras so I put in a bunch as feeder fish. Out of the 15 or so feeders I had in about 2 years ago there are roughly 7 left so don't put one in with little fish if you don't want them to disappear.

some crayfish are extremely mellow and wont touch a fish. all depends on the spieces
