Crayfish and arowanas???

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
If the crawdad is bigger than all of the fishes heads, then you might be OK for awhile, but I would start looking for another place to house the cray SOON. But then again if the cray is too big, then you would have to worry about it hurting the fish! lol

try it with a similar size, cheap variety maybe, but I had a "blue lobster" looked like crayfish to me, he was mean, when the fish went down to sleep, he's ambush and kill and eat them. Maybe the blue monster will eat the aro!!! The blue dudes take every chance to maim others, they're reclusive and territorial. If he doesn't work out, you'd get free dinner either way.

Well, i guess i've got to really bite my tongue and resist the urge of getting that awesome looking electric blue marron...

Maybe next time when i change to a bigger tank i can use the smaller one to keep one or two of those striking creatures...

by the way, sorry for asking a stupid question but what really is the difference between crayfish and lobster???

I think lobster are just a larger, saltwater version of a crawdad, but im no expert on inverts.
genetically he pretty much hit the nail on the head. Like sea run rainbow trout turn into killer steelhead. My blue was cool, but the guy who took him said he got huge, big enough to damage even an aro, they're nasty little creatures, ate my betta right in from of me. I was shocked.

Crayfish try to grab things that pass in front of them...fish, fingers, etc. lol so just be careful if the cray is really big or small!
