Crayfish eating her own shell!

Never knew a crayfish would eat the shell that she had just shed... well, apparently it does happen!

They sure do, helps to replenish vitamins lost during the molt (calcium and iodine I believe).

Cool blue. I once looked at my tank and though, hey, I only had one crayfish. Just so happened that it shed. Watching the whole shedding process in fascinating.

Well, I sure didn't know that! The two previous time she molted I removed the shell...silly me! Now I know better
