Keep your eye one the tiny, colorful right claw. (His right, not your right). It must have had a ton of tissue packed into it before this morning when he molted.

Before molt:

Species? Don't know. Feeder tank rescue.

Wild! I have no idea about the different regenerative capabilities of different species of crays. I know this isn't a marmorkreb, but that's all I know about him.

Thats nothing, i had this fiddler crab that i had bought, first thing he did when i put it in my tank was go eat a few ammno shrimp, easily trippling his own cost... Pissed as i was, i ripped off his giant claw and threw him back in....

If you know what a fiddler crab looks like, his claw is almost as big as his body... After 1 molt, his entire claw grew back...

Geez, you guys make it sound like I'm not doing a good job with him. I give him cuttlebone, shrimp pellets and tropical crumbles. And sometimes pieces of massivore, etc. Maybe more vegetables? His water is plenty hard.

..You ripped his claw off?? Because he ate the shrimp?

My marbled cray did that -- was missing a claw when I got her, re-grew it after a molt. I was pretty happy she was able to do that, looked kinda funny with only 1 claw...
