Crayfish (Shell Rot!!!)

Sea salt, like what you use in cooking, is fine. Bath salt, I wouldn't... I know a lot of bath salts contain added chemicals that probably aren't helpful (and most likely harmful) to the crayfish. Then again, when I think of "bath salt" I think of those little fizzy cubes or those fancy scrubs people buy, if you have something that's purely salt (nothing added to it) for the bath, it'll be fine.

You should really only remove the shell if it came from an infected crayfish, or no one has begun to eat it after a few days (you don't want something rotting in your tank obviously). Crayfish will usually eat their molt to regain nutrients and what not (other crayfish will also eat molts from other crayfish for the same reason, nutrients).
