i see people have crayfish and piranhas in the same tank..
im more worried about the piranhas than te crayfish
but could this work out??????

Worried that the crayfish would hurt the Ps? I don't see that happening. I was actually considering adding some......I never messed with them, but I do hear they are good scavengers. I would be more worried about my plants, but I never thought they would mess with them. Just something I heard also. I would think the Ps would eat them to be honest. Anyone else?

ya
my friend has had his blue cray pull apart other fish
but he has it in a 10 gallon
so tank size could matter

ive got crays in my planted ten gal and they uproot my plants and eat the roots and all the leaves :irked::irked:

blue crays are fine in a planted.. the regulalr crays will destroy your stuff.. i dont recommend it in a planted.. my brandtii eats crays for lunch..

my rhom loves eating crayfish. I wouldn't worry about your piranhas. but there is always a chance that the crayfish could poke out an eye or something. When i add crayfish to any tank i rip off the top pincher of the claw. If you take the whole thing off it could kill them, or they just grow it back.

i added crays to my p tank once and there wasnt much left the next morning, if your looking for a good scavenger i would possibly try some type of armored catfish, in my p tank now have a Hoplo Cat and he is about 5 in and my p's are about 7 they havent bothered him yet and hes been in there about 2 months but i kept them very well fed

well ive breed them and had them 4 years and they are good on cleaning the bottom but when they get a chance to get hold of somthing live they will take the chance mostlikely
