Craziest feeders?

I'm from Indonesia, Jakarta specifically. And I'm in Singapore ATM for vacation. Is that a coincidence? lol.

Haha! Indeed.. I am in Southern Jakarta. Going back and forth.

I realized the hobby is definitely growing here (Jakarta) since I was posted for work 7 years ago. Alot more hobbyist I knew are into beautiful planted aquascapes and predatory species now.

I used to buy Tiger Barbs packed and sold as feeders.
Instead, fed and took care of them well like how I would normally with other fishes.

I am hopeful hobbyist sees it as an opportunity to get fish for cheap "wholesale prices" rather than seeing them as feeders though.
It just might be placed on shelves with feeders for convenience maybe.. but an 8" walking catfish?? LOL

Have I mentioned Harlequin Rasboras? It was packed and sold right next to the Tiger Barbs.

A lot of "illegal" predatory species now. People are still selling piranhas, arapaimas, lungfish, gars and snakeheads even though it's illegal. I guess the government doesn't enforce that law as strictly

Did you guys know that Singapore has a feral population of geophagus altifrons? It doesn't seem like they are changing the ecosystem much though...
