wow man, thats a great story! I was moving once and shut down a tank, long story short, I left two inches of water in the old tank for three weeks while I moved because I thought I hdad gotten all the fish out of it. Anyway, I got to clean it out and something starts moving around, it scared the hell outta me, turns out a pleco was still in there livin all three weeks in this stagnant nasty water!

I had a similar experience. I had a tank that i took down. Left about 3 inches of water in it. Never touched the tank for about 2 weeks. I finally got around to taking out the gravel and dumping the rest of the water when my clown pleco stabbed me. I freaked out and he hit the side of the tank hard. He still lived after the trauma though. It was about an inch of water left and it was ice cold. I had him for a good 4 months after that until he bailed.
