I am sorry to say that most carnies are not like the bunch you described. Most of them are in it for the profit. They are not theives and liars like some people describe, but majority are not interested in dealing with people's questions and needs; they are just interested in the profit.

i even will ask people if they have a big enough tank to keep their goldfish in and if not then they need to get one a one inch goldfish can easily need a 10 gallon aquarium in a matter of years

uhh, i belieive he may have been reffereing to the goldfish that are won at carnavils, the feeder goldfish, they die quick and don't get over 3", also in general there are a few speices of golfdish, and none of them get over 16", though kio get easiely to 3', please, don't have a spasm over nothing, be more inviteing to people, your teenage anger is useless in later life.

If those feeder goldfish never grow past 3 inches, then why do many states now list state records for them (IGFA also recognizes these). World record is 6 pounds 10 ounces at Lake Hodges in San Diego County. Texas state record is almost 6 pounds. Thats a mighty heavy "3 inch" fish

Yea buddy your pretty wrong with your 3" point. "Feeder" goldfish can easily get a foot, have you never seen big feeders for sale around you? I can easily buy them hear at 6"+. Although I do disagree with Ztrip that they need 1,000 gallons+.

and i am reffering to feeder goldfish the type you feed to fish and turtles
AND when i say years i mean one goldfish will out grow a 10 gallon in about a month
and for that guy that thinks i'm the scum of the earth that's like telling a black person your better than them cause of your color
i've been a carny since i was 4 it's all i know and yes we do try to make money
AND FOR THE RECORD
we don't keep all the money we make we only keep 20-25 percent plus we have to pay rent or pay for a hotel so we make very little
and i always tell people they will need ATLEAST a ten gallon tank for ONE goldfish

First off, feeder fish should be fed to NOTHING. No nutrition.

Secondly, I bought some "feeder" fish for my pond onf year and yes they got 9"+. That didn't take long ither.
