Hi there,
Last year I unintentionally discovered how surprisingly easy it is to breed fancy tail guppies (read: rabbits ain't got nuthin' on guppies).
Before I knew it I had more than 50 fry in an amazingly short time, and promptly separated my males and females into different tanks. Needless to say, I don't need that many fish, and some of the youngest ones are now ready to move on to their new homes, and after all this time I may finally be down to a manageable number of guppies once again.
I have eight males - the prettier sex in the guppy kingdom - that are ready to go. They are red tuxedoes (red tails), with iridescent blue or pale green highlights. Four of them are full grown in full color, and four have about a month left before they are fully colored, though they are beautiful already.
I have a few females too, with bright iridescent blue tails, though I would only let them go to an experienced breeder or someone who would give me their word that they would NEVER put them in the same tank with males.
I would like to know that they are going to serious hobbyists that know a thing or two about their tanks, so only inquire if you can enter into a dialogue about tank parameters and bio-load. These are NOT feeders, they are pets that I watched enter the world and have cared for their whole lives - I would keep them if I had the capacity, but alas I do not and it is far more conscious to find them a new home where they can live out their lives in comfortable conditions.
Cheers,
Violet
ps - it is notoriously difficult to get good pictures of guppies...
