Found this one kinda funny:

This fish is a JERK! hahaha... Please read! :)

Date: 2009-02-27, 7:38PM EST

Okay so here's the story. I have a bullfrog named Herman. He eats feeder fish (about 1 dozen every 5-6 days... he's got quite the appetite.) that I get from a local store. A few weeks ago I bought him a round of victims and he ate all of them except this one small brownish/greenish fish. I figured it was just because he wasn't hungry but I have never seen him pass up a meal. I left the fish in his tank, feeding the fish daily to keep him alive, and still... Herman wouldn't eat him. I eventually felt sorry for the fish and put him in with the rest of the feeder fish in the feeder tank. I did some research including posting on here asking what kind of fish he was, and figured he was either a juvenile cichlid of some-sort or just an ugly feeder. He'd been in there for about a week before I started calling him "Snack" and yesterday I finally broke down and bought him his own tank and a cute little Pearlscale goldfish to keep him company.

This morning I was watching them swim and to my horror... Snack started attacking the Pearlscale!!! I put him back in the feeder tank to save the Pearlscale from getting hurt (he's cute!) and he started attacking the Feeders! WTF SNACK??!?!?

I did some more research and have discovered that he is not a feeder fish or a cichlid, but a juvenile Green Sunfish. They are SUPER aggressive and territorial and do best as a single fish (with something like a Crayfish as a friend as they are both pond dwellers and won't eat eachother) or in groups (but only from when they are babies)... I read about some people keeping them with Cichlids since they are also aggressive, but as of now, I can't keep him with the Pearlscale or the feeders... He's a jerk. An angry, territorial jerk. hahaah...

I'm posting to see if anyone has an interest in adding him (or her) to their tank of Cichlids, or starting a new tank? He's about 2 inches long at the moment, so you can start off with a smaller tank and just have the tank grow with him? I'd trade for something cute, little and non-aggressive that I can keep with the Pearlscale (Shrimp, another Pearlscale (small), African dwarf frog, etc...)

Let me know what you have, and we'll take it from there. Don't say I didn't warn you that this fish was a jerk tho... :)

This one too:

I hate you, white fish with the flowy fins

Date: 2005-07-09, 10:26AM PDT

To celebrate our domestic bliss, my boyfriend and I recently got a fish tank. The manager lady at the Petco on La Brea (very helpful, looks like Parker Posey in 20 years, she deserves a raise) advised us to stock the tank with goldfish for the first few weeks because they'd do something or another to the water to make it more amenable to tropical fish in the future.

Not surprisingly, five of the eight goldfish died, as goldfish are wont to do. We waited in vain to sacrifice the remaining three to the porcelain god, but they defied us. Finally, we purchased a smaller tank and moved them there. They seem content.

Then we cranked up the heater and bought tropical fishes: two orange thingies with wavy fins, a silver something that looks like a quarter with gills, some fish with little feeler things on its mouth, a frog, and the white fish the flowy fins that would be the death of everything.

Oh, the hours my boyfriend and I spent in each other's arms, looking at the aquarium and delighting in our makeshift family.

Then disaster struck. White fish with the flowy fins got bumpy things and his flowy fins started getting stumpy. The other inhabitants of the aquarium were fine for days, maybe a week. We went back to Petco and manager lady gave us drugs to medicate the aquarium. We medicated as instructed and everything returned to normal.

Oh, the hours my boyfriend and I spent in each other's arms, looking at the aquarium with relief at having averted disaster.

Then disaster struck. White fish with the flowy fins got bumpy things on his flowy fins and started getting stumpy again. The other fishes, the frog, and the snail started getting bumpy things days later. Then I awoke one morning to find everyone floating belly-up at the top of the aquarium, except white fish with the flowy fins.

He no longer has bumpy things but he's still stumpy. He swims around all day, all alone, content to have his kingdom to himself finally. ****er.

Two Free Cannibal Goldfish

Date: 2004-08-27, 2:17PM PDT

Free Cannibal Goldfish...

They seem like regular goldfish... they sort of look like this...

goldfish.jpg

Innocent looking... But little do you know... they ate 2 black moors, 1 lionhead goldfish, 1 calico telescope, 1 bottom feeder, 2 ghost shrimp, and 1 snail.

I thought they died of natural deaths at first, but after my last calico telescope goldfish died, it became apparent why these two delinquents are always the last man standing... THEY'VE BEEN PICKING AT THEIR FISH-FRIENDS!!

Please! Take them, but leave them in their own tank! They'll be ready to be picked up starting Monday (August 30th) Please have your own method of transporting them. (a bottle... whatever). I'll provide the net to catch those murderers.

Sorry if I'm over posting but here's another one:

A**hole fish for free or trade

Date: 2003-09-17, 1:44AM EDT

We have a very pretty Golden Gourami, about 2 inches long. He's very healthy and looks nice in the aquarium. The problem, you see, is that he's an incredible *******. He was originally in a tank with other fish smaller than him and he bullied them constantly and even bit another gourami to death. We had to move him into a different tank where he now bullies, albeit not as aggressively, five Shubunkin goldfish that are almost twice his size. What an *******. We don't want to flush him or eat him so if anyone wants him I will personally deliver him unless he knocks me out and steals the car. It would be nice if we could get another cool community fish in trade.
