Gotta keep busy at the hospital somehow while the wife is popping out the babies.

Speaking of craigslist deals...what do you think would be the best way to handle this.

I'm looking for a new larger tank (125-180 Gallons) and had a guy send me an email with his setup and that he can deliver but wants the cash first.

I try to be an optimist but giving a guy I have never met before a couple hundred dollars cash before anything is delivered seem a little sketchy.

Am I being paranoid or should I counter with something like half before half after, or all the cash after he brings the tank over?

Haven't bought anything big off Craigslist before so not sure what the normal type of transaction is.

:iagree::screwy: your luck the guy didnt ask you to meet him out in the woods...i think I hear a banjo playing in the distance.

When I bought my tank off craigslist, I went to the persons home and looked it over first, saw that it was set up and holding water. I made my offer and asked if she'd deliver it. I gave her $100 to hold it and the rest when it was delivered.

She seemed like an honest person though, and it was my decision to offer her the money. Someone just asking for money seems shady as hell.

Well first off why not start your own thread instead of hijacking this one? I would not load up a tank, drive across town to deliver it without receiving payment first. Tenecor did not send my tank until I paid first. Most anything you have delivered(except pizza) requires you pay first. If you don't feel right about it move on and find another.
