Crazy Craigslisters.....Hard to believe

I've been going on craigslist quite a bit this past couple of weeks and I cant tell you how many people try to sell 10-30 gallon tanks for over $200!! But Im actually picking up a 240 ( I called the guy many times asking him to measure it for me haha) for $150 that I found on craigslist LA. Thought someone was picking it up yesterday, but apparently they misunderstood "240 GALLON TANK", and was expecting it to be smaller when they went to take a look. So now it's mine sometimes ya just gotta read through all the retarded priced ones and eventually you really will find a good deal

I've found the same thing. Maybe those size tanks are just more popular, because they are a "manageable" size? I was keeping an eye out a while back for a 30-40g tank with stand, and could never find one for under $100.

I went through so many "$200 20 gallon w/ fish!!" listings before i found a 180 gallon with stand 2 emperor 400s and glass lids for the the same price... The people with the small tanks are so unrealistic on there.

I know right. Then they list how much they paid for everything at petsmart. I just feel like emailing everyone one of them and saying hey just because you over paid at the chain store doesn't mean it's worth that much used.

72x18 glass fish tank. Slow leak. You will have to be more clever than I to fix it. Will make an awesome reptile tank or put a naughty kid in it.

I have a 29 gallon aquarium that I'd like to rehome because I'm moving out of state and can't take it with me. There are 3 very large fish who already live in it that you will have to take also. There is a albino tiger oscar who is about 10" long, a large upsode down catfish who is about 8" long, and the biggest plecostamus I have ever seen. I'm asking for a rehoming fee of $50 OBO, to insure that they go to a good home, and I will even throw in about 12 or 14 other, common fish to sweeten the deal a little bit. ***The sad part was I emailed her and told her a would be willing to adopt the upside down cat, but I wasn't looking to buy a fish that had been housed like that for its life. I offered her pics of the tank it would go in, as well as if she wanted to come see it, and she flat out said: "I know that the fish are in a tank that is too small, but I'm not giving them away either. I've had them for many years and want to rehome them to someone who will love them like I do. If you wanted them for pets, you wouldn't mind paying the rehoming fee. Thanks anyways."

I've gotten several of my tanks through CL, several of which were actually free(2x 66.5, 1 80) so it's worth it to shift through all the overpriced crap, because there are those sweet deals around occasionally.

I was at the LFS here in NFLD, they had a 55 gallon on sale for $999.99. It came with a stand and a fluval 404 Reg 1299.99. What do you think of that? That a deal or what?
