Crazy datnoid

Apparently my datnoid only wants too come out when lights are off, he thinks he's nocturnal....
Just so you know datnoids are in the perch family and are nocturnal naturally.
same family? nocturnal? where did you get that?
Research it lol. Dats are nocturnal
nocturnal? that's new. from what i know they are ambush predators, they tend to stalk prey. so when the lights are out i don't think they have a keen sense of smell to do this.
My NGT is blind in one, or possibly both eyes and finds pellets, shrimp, and crayfish. He's usually is in his cave and comes out when he smells the food hit the tank.
