He's not totally 18 more like 14-15" and I got rid of those silver dollors and he's not super ski dish as he was before and he turns just fine and he's got plenty of room now that's there's only cats and him in the tank I have a 200 g coming in just 2-3 more months

If it's a standard 55g I don't see how he could turn around just fine. I'd hurry up on that 200g

14-15 or 18 doesn't matter all too big for that tank, get a bigger tank and he'll settle down. YesHe might be surviving in a tank that size but he's not going to be happy and unhappy fish jump. Like if someone decided to keep up locked up in a bedroom, sure you could turn around and survive but you'd be bouncing off the walls trying to escape in no time!

Here we go again...

If it is 15" now, in 2-3 months it should be 16-18" then. I'm not sure of the dimensions of a 200g tank, but at best I'm guessing it will be 7x2x2', which will be an adequate [albeit temporary] tank for about six months until your aro hits 24", then you'll be back to square one having a fish that is too big for its tank.

200g might seem like the ocean compared to your 55g, but it is still nowhere near large enough to house a silver arowana for life.
