Your hunch better be a good one if I end up getting some! Thats a pricey hunch for sure! :p

You better hurry up, because you know if I get another tank cycled up there ain't gonna be any left!!!

Hhhhhmmmmm, after further investigation I am really wishing that I bought a few of these. Seems as though the locality of Jeff's stock is actually the sources for the RIO NEGRO!!!

As quoted from Wiki:
Rio Negro (Portuguese: Rio Negro, Spanish: Río Negro, English: Black River) is the largest left tributary of the Amazon and the largest blackwater river in the world. It has its sources along the watershed between the Orinoco and the Amazon basins, and also connects with the Orinoco by way of the Casiquiare canal. In Colombia, where the sources are located, it is called the Guainía River.

So, they could appear more similar to the Rio Negro lentics than the Rio Atabapo lentics after all!!! A chance worth taking for sure!!!!

Off to go repair or find a new tank!!!!

The race is on. . . . unfortunately you have more funds. . . .

Cycle a few more tanks, we can trade a few fish. . . . :D

The heck I do!!! And even if I did have more funds, you have more room!!!

Damn you two!! I've been trying to save up money for a special project that requires some new equipment and was not buying fish so I would have the necessary funds.

Between all of Brian's threads the past couple of days and Jer's "family portrait" and now this I'm starting to feel the pressure to buy 4 of these damn fish... must... resist... :wall:

If you resist for too long there will be none to have!! I am telling you, they look different from the average lentic that I have seen......not that anything should be taken away from them, they are surly awesome in their own right. Jeff's are just "different" that's all.

I have one more special pike that I am trying to get a good pic up, but they are not cooperating at all. Damn black gravel and black pikes ;)

If you get some lentics from Jeff please make sure to tell him that Jer and I exerted large amounts of peer pressure on you!! LOL :evil_lol:

Mark ~ VIVA LA CRENICICHLA!

Brian ~ Heres a thought, put them on lighter gravel!!!! ;) Or use the cell phone picture!

Wish Jeff would get back to me, this empty tank space is driving me crazy. . . . Looked at that thread in his buy/sell again, the top two pictures of lents have MUCH more spots on the face and throats, especially for 8". . . .just a observation. . .
