at 2" they are still developing they're character. just like red bellies, they are finger chasers when young and immature. he will grow and smarten up and know you could be a threat to him.

the best way to keep him mean is to put him in his life time tank while small and young. this way he won't have to experience a tank change. taking piranha out of the tank by net can reduce they're confidence and could take months before they get back to normal and sometimes will never be as agreesive as they once were. of course there are special cases of which this does not apply.

thanks for that info. Unfortunately hes not in his life time tank yet, but should be sometime next year. Hes in a 3ft now and will be going into a 6-7ft.

He will love that! Mine only in a 2 foot but is getting much bigger soon.

When ive grown him to full size i will go back to cichlids. Dovii or a peacock bass would do well in a 7ft'er.

Ok, here he is. Not too good pics coz ive got the blue moon light on which he prefers to the daylight (light). He didnt like the camera coz of the red light ..lol so he tried to hide.

Thanks!
Im using a Fluval 4 plus to filter the tank, and it gives a nice current to the tank aswell. It filters at 1000 Lph and gives enough circulation along with a large airstone to make the plants move as though they were in a proper river/stream. I find it works very well, and never get dirty water. You do have to turn it off when feeding tho, other wise the food is all round the tank..lol

Where can i get Mysis shrimp from?
ive heard its very good for baby P's and they seem to love it.
