i was just wondering why my rbps are so dark. there upper bodies are dark grey not sliver like the ones at the pet store. i dont no if they are sick or something.

how big are they, in general rbp's start to darken as they get older and hit 6-9", and the darkening can also be triggered by mood swings and such. YAY bipolar rpb's!!!

many things can affect this:
colour of gravel, lighting, mood food...
and depending on age ans size could be breeding but in this they almost turn pitch black

Based on your dark gravel in the picture, this is the main reason. I had raised my P's on white sand then moved them to a tank with RED gravel and eventually swapped the red for black. The darker the gravel I put the darker they got. When I went from red to black they seemed to darken up in just a few days.

they had light brown gravel since i got them. they were really dark before i put them in this tank. but your saying that they are alright?

If they were on light brown and you darkened it to black. In turn they also darkened in color, then I would say they are fine. If I can find a few pics I will post em.

Update - Found one of them on the red so far.
