Crazy Tropical Pond Project

If you add a bottom drain just pull the plug and it drains out. Anything that sticks can hosed out.

I guess the problem that I've been having with my present pond is that all of a sudden I have algae all over the place. I just tested PH and its great. The water is crystal clear with all of this ****ty algae at the top. It's really causeing a problem with my voretex because its clogging up the screen that I have going into the filter from the vortex. I wonder if its because of it being the rainy season now. I never had this problem in the summer when it wasn't raining so much. The only other variable is that I have more plants now, but I thought that would help. I would like to figure this problem out before I start on the big project.
Here's the Crazy Tropical Pond part. I just had 3 tons of big rocks brought in to boarder the pond. I'm also making a fountain that runs from a skimmer in my pond to some rental properties that I have. This way they'll pay for part of my electric bill and add in keeping my pond clean. I'll try and put up some pictures as soon as I can.

I just made a filter addition to my pond. This is like a small proto type to what I'm going to build for my next project. The tubing lets the water pass up through the rocks and plant root system in order to clean the water.
