They look really good Chris. I'm glad you decided to keep the female. They are a nice little pair, they seemed very strongly bonded everytime I saw them.

Agreed, I could care less about price if it's something I want. A few of us willing to pay a higher premium to get what we want also encourages out LFS's to bring in more stock that is hard to come by and command a higher premium. It's called taking one for the team ;)

I'm glad you got them Chris. You should really consider keeping them together. I have seen this pair spawn no less that 3 times in the last 6 weeks. You should retain the bod of these two if possible Forcing a bond with a new female doesn't always work out so well IME.
 
I separated them to keep them from breeding because I needed a heater for my fry tank and I wanted to see how he did with a female of mine. But I got a big heater so I can easily adjust the temp of the fry tank. So its reasonable to say the female is old enough to breed every two weeks now?

Yeah its hard to find anything in our area that you can't already find Petco or Petsmart.

I can't speak to how often she could/should spawn but that is what I have seen. 3 different broods of fry in the tank they were in over the last few weeks. For sure get them back together, that is a hot pair. Hit me up if your running low on equipment and what not, I usually have spare equipment laying around (if Jeff hasen't snatched it first :grinno: that is) lol

It was there last night, I was down there picking up massivore. The Portland meeting is happening at the wet spot in a couple hours (shame on you for not going :grinno: BTW) so we'll let you know.

So the Midas is still there? Would love if someone more experience could check if its male or female. How much are they asking for it?
