My guess would be male but I am still trying to figure out my last one. Comparing it to my male I would say male.

I don't know where in NJ you are, but here in Philly there is a fish store called Giant Aquarium. Amazing place to visit, caters to the asian community (koi, goldfish, flowerhorns mostly).. has several Arapaima gigas in his pond in the store.
He sells blood parrots.. we bought 2 'creamsicle' parrots from him. Beauties.
He's got good prices on filters and stuff too (at least for the area I'm in).
