i have a 92x24 piece of 5-8th thick glass and i want to build a big tank with it but my problem is that i want to be in the 300 plus range and if i build right off the size of the glass and make it 2 feet front to back i will only be in the low 200. any ideas how i can bump up the gallon with out making it too much deeper front to back and still being able to see the fish anywhere in the tank? it kindof loses the point of an aquarium if you border the glass a foot around with plywood because then you can only see the fish if they are in the center of the tank

You only need a 2" edge of plywood around the glass. Check out the thread in my sig line. It is about the size you are talking about.

I agree go deeper. I wish now I had and extended it to 300 gallons.

Good luck
