have you guys ever heard of this pike? one of my boyz got one and its tight. it looks like its been dead for a week but iz just like that cuz of iz coloration. iz jet black and got the bigest lips on a pike i ever seen (similer to bid lipped red D's) i want one soooo bad but i cant find them anywhere. :irked: :irked: :irked: its aggressivness iz similer to managuense and it hates any thing that haz the same bodyshape. so wat do you think?

I think you should stay away from it. Don't get them. Your friend probably got it from Mikes Killer Fish, no? The problem with them is that they rarely last very long in captivity. Its like they just waste away, might have to do something with the way they look, or possibly because they get some sort of bacterial/fungal infection. They are pretty pikes, and it is a shame they are harder to keep alive. If you wanna risk it though, go for it. Who knows, you might be able to keep it alive for the long haul! ;)

iz it unusual for it to be 8-10in. in captivity? i will definatly try to keep some if i find some because its worth a try but thanx for telling me that P_P. has anybody else heard of them

How can Jeff sell a fish that has an infection?? I thought he was a reputable seller, not one who sells a fish that looks like it is dead becuase it is sick. That bugs me.....

?
What is the expectancy of their lifespans if they are diseased?

Reread the original thread. No need to make fun of spelling.

Its not so much that they are diseased. I dunno how to explain it. Its like their life cycle...lol. It helps them get food, but at the cost of their lives eventually. Not sure if you can eventually pull them back around or not. They are interesting pikes, but for the prices they normally go for, and their high mortality rate, i wouldn't advise it. Rapps doesn't get them in that often....I think he makes it a point not to unless someone requests them...;)

i think it wuld be tight 2 have a zombie fish, even for a short while. i dont think that its the same with selling a sick fish. its sick 100% of the time. no reason to not sell it. :)
