Crenicichla and Geo Aquarium

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
If they are both male, I would imagine they'll get along just fine but as you're probably well aware...you're never 100% guaranteed anything with crenicichla.

I hope the buddies lasts. They both seem to have a faint white line when they display. Either way, fingers crossed. I appreciate all the help with these guys when I first got them. You've been a great help.

You're more than welcome, bud. Glad you've got the pike bug...they are wonderful fish, with lots of personality. Done correctly, and they aren't just wet pets.

I am really interested in getting some marmorata's, but seeing some of the pics from importers haven't impressed me.

Those cincta of yours are simply stunning, and I love your set up for them.

Got some small skinny 4-5 inchers and they're very pretty, their eyes literally glow. Nice green body and pattern especially at the size they're at ImageUploadedByMonsterAquariaNetwork1425354345.206890.jpgImageUploadedByMonsterAquariaNetwork1425354208.703655.jpgImageUploadedByMonsterAquariaNetwork1425354370.813216.jpg
More people need to get into pikes they're awesome, either that or we need to post more of our pikes! Lol
Mrrboxcs viviparium setup is simply amazing I wouldn't mind planting my 300 that heavily in the future.

Love the marms. I really wanted to get some of these. Enough where i started pricing out a new 6 foot tank. But time is an issue and I can't see myself adding yet another large tank into my weekly WC mix.

Snookn21 says his are Rio Trombetas. Aquascape claims theres are Xingu. Shark Aquarium has a bonded pair for sale but the males patterns are a bit off and he says his are Tapajos i think.

I really want some marms. Good luck on them and keep us posted. I agree that more people should keep pikes. I put these same videos in the SA/CA section and more people are interested in their Jags, RD, Midas, and Festaes to even care about Pikes.

I just posted my 3rd and last big tank with my bonded pair of Tapajos. LMK what you think.

Let me know when you're ready to start the planting. I can give you tips. Plants are really easy once you get a feel for them. The riparium works easy as well since the plants Im using are kill-proof.

If u want them id say get em these were virtually absent from the market for the last few years now they've been everywhere id try and snatch a few up before they're all gone. Snookn21 or johns marms turned out to be from the rio Tapajos lulu has a nice one looks tapajos. I'm not too sure about Pedro's but if they're actual xingu marms id cop a couple. Saw shark aquariums pair on fb and the pair didn't impress me at all my little guys look better than that pair hahaha
I commented on your thread with your tapajos mine didn't come in so I got a refund... I'm still salty man, But how sick would it be if they did, 3 marms and 3 tapajos I and 2 punctata blue 33 all together. I'll let u know when I'll start planting I def noticed the pothos and other hardy plants I'll shoot Ya a pm when I'm ready thanks man!

Snookn21 has the tapajos right now. Might want to pick some up. Hes been a dependable guy. He ight even work a deal. Hes flexible.

I'd get the marms but I literally have no space. I don't mix pikes since my experience has been bad so I don't want to add them to any of my tanks. They cost so much I'd kick myself if I lost any due to aggression. Fish farm had his celidochilus for sale on aquabid last week and I almost pulled the trigger. Some cool stuff comes around from time to time.

Yeah the guy I was originally going to get the tapajos I from wanted $125 and he was making a pretty good profit he was telling me... Snookn21 wants $150 plus shipping but maybe we could work out a deal although me and ken (fishfarm) already worked out a deal for the celidochilus. I didn't pull the trigger in the beginning but I thought long and hard about it and how they're even rarer than zebrina, they've been bred before etc etc I'm pretty sold on em, his actual large pair he wants $1k lol so they're up there with zebrina in terms of price, but I might even get one of his pairs of vittata too there's lots of cool pikes going around now I'm just trying to get them before I never see them again lol. mixing pikes is a hit or miss. Or u can crowd em together and hope for the best maybe buy a group of 6-7 of sveni and belly crawlers for cheap from a lfs and throw em in too as target fish so aggression is distributed
