Crenicichla Monicae/ Crencichla sp. "Troucha Trout"

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Thanks Rob, II'm keeping my fingers crossed on the bonding. I already have dreams of line breeding to get more spots. lol How's things with the Johanna going? And what about the Zebrina any indication of sex or if you lucked out and got a pair?

My zebrina are a pair. Jeff sexed them for me when I bought them and they bonded within the first month.

I'm away right now visiting home in CA so I haven't seen the fish for a few days. I'm hoping they are ok.

Whatcha doing for treatment brother? Salt and heat never did me wrong.
I tried a temp bump to 86° increased aeration and salt to no avail. Then tried RID ICH Plus in combo with the above still no go for the male, so I'm continuing the treatment with a slightly higher temp bump 88°. Thanks for the concern and advice bro.

I'm surprised I thought little is known about sexing them. I trust Jeff though especially when it comes to cichlids so I'm sure you have a pair. Has the female shown any pink in her belly region?

Lol I get antsy when I go away. Feel silly worrying about fish but can't help it. The Johanna from your region are supposed to be pretty mild tempered and you've got those plants backing you up so I'm sure they're fine. I hope your enjoying your time away. Catch some rays, surf and bring me back a great SOCAL fish deal. :p

Lol. I normally end up buying a bunch of manzanita and shipping it back to PA from here.
