Crenicichla sp atabapo red - will this work?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Tank maker got delayed by a week due to his crystal glass shipment being delayed =\ My poor pikes are gonna have to stay in the temp tank a little longer

I'm excited!! The tank is in and I'm now cycling it with mature media from one of my other tanks :) The sand goes in tonight as well as aquascaping with the wood.

Total volume of water in tank + sump probably works out to 270-300 gallons, with the tank space being 240 gallons.

Confirmed stock list will be as follows:

14x Symphysodon discus
7x Uaru fernandezyepezi
3x Heros sp. rotkeil
1-2x Potamotrygon motoro
3x Crenicichla sp. "Atabapo red"
2-3x Ancistrus sp. L183

When the Mesonauta sp. grow bigger I may put 3-4 in as well, but for now they're in the 120 gal with the Symphysodon haraldi to grow out.

I may throw in either 2x Satanoperca daemon or 5x Geophagus sp. "Tapajos Orange Head" to help keep the sand sifted and clean too, if it won't overstock the tank by too much.

What do you guys think? :)

And the tank is up! Some preview pictures as I put together the finishing touches to the tank :)

Looks fantastic! Very similar to what I have planned, just substitute the Uaru for some Rays.

Very nice! Love the look of the lighting.
