Ok, I am looking into getting a few geckos. Preferably 2-3, considering i would like them to breed.

I have heard great things about both geckos, but I have a few questions:

-Which is easier to care for?
-What is the price ranges, for both gecko and tank set up. (Note: I can get a 55g tank for $30.)
-Are both easily bred? If so what m/f ratio would work?
-What do you prefer handling?

Lastly anything else why you like one better, perhaps personality or care, etc.

Thanks

I have a lot of mixed answers.
The Leopard Gecko is easier to care for, in my opinion. (I have had both lizards)
Not sure what the price range would be, seems how what you get for the tank is your opinion, but it would also be cheaper to care for a Leopard Gecko.
Leopard Geckos are fairly easy to breed. The female that I used to have bred twice with a male, but the eggs were never fertile. :(
The Crested Gecko would be best for handling, but I would be careful during feeding time... I've had some bad experience with getting bit my a CG thinking I was food, lol.
I like the Crested Gecko better, in my opinion. But, because the price of a CG is normally around $50, its not something I would buy more than two of. Just too expensive for me.

Same care requirements depending on where you live - out here in California the cresties are actually easier because they pretty much require no temperature monitoring year 'round.

Leo's are pretty boring - they do absolutely nothing, and tend to only get active at around 2 or 3 in the morning.

Cresties are active, I think they're cuter, they have a lower survivability rate - but at the same time you can decorate the tank with live plants and not have to worry about them dying (leo's you're stuck with succulants).

I personally prefer cresties, I've had both. My leo's were a giant waste of money - the only time I ever saw them is if I'd go in there to handle them. My cresties were active during the early mornings, evenings, and late at night.

Cresties for sure IMO. Much more entertaining to watch and handle. My leo's hardly ever came out and when they did, they didn't do much of anything besides lay around. Cresties are more, athletic, I guess you would say.

I keep both. A lot of people say there's are boring but my leopard geckos are pretty active. If I even approach the tank they come out of hiding and beg for food at any time of day. My cresteds on the other hand are always sleeping unless I turn off their lights. Then they become active.

I don't really handle either species that much but I do enjoy holding my crested geckos. They don't really run but hop all over the place. When I do hold them my leopard gecko are very chill and will happily sit in your hand or lap without any problems.

I think both species are very easy to keep and make a great starter lizard.

If you're interested in buying any leopard geckos I have a bunch of juveniles for sale. I also have a friend who breeds cresteds and he has a few of them for sale as well.

I think it's a matter of persoanl opinion. I personally prefer leos. They have a bad rep of being lazy but I always see atlest 1 of my 2 leos out and about. At night I find them exploring thier tank climbing and digging all over the place. And when I come up to the tank my boldest one comes right up to me and tries to lick my finger through the glass. Plus leos give you the wierdest facial expression something cresties can never do. But I think both would be about the same attitude wise depending on the actual lizard. Each one is differnt.

I suggest Leos, I don't know about you but none of my leos were inactive. They were always out of their hides and would get excited for food even after feedings. They are like Seth said, very chill. Once they get used to you they calm down in your hands.
