if your outside in 110ºF weather for 30 minutes are you hot and thirsty?
That is kinda what im getting at.

SOme cresteds tolerate 80º temps. Its just that some dont.
man i worked construction out in the heat here for 2 years,110 plus and yes,i got thirsty, some guys ended up in the hospital from dehydration. Not the best town to work out side all year.lol.

I know where your coming from man,you know i just dont want to get something ill make miserable.I called LLL reptiles and explained the situation. They realy think my house should be fine,i can just find a cooler spot in the house or even place a Ice pack in the tank if its that bad.Just dont want to be an impulse buyer.Lots of herps suffer from that.So you guys stay interested in these guys, prety rewarding or what?:)
Oh yea they are rewarding!
They are amazing to hold every once in a while if you like too.

I've heard that temp about 85 stresses them out and can kill them. Now you got me wondering about it too. lol
well the herp shop guy who is a good source was saying that you just dont want it prolonged.Wher are they from again,it never spikes over 80 or what, lol. And no basement,i wish.Dont get me wrong i know the guy wants to seel his geckos but he knows im 3 hours away too.I got my leo breeders their long ago.Nice shop.LLL reptiles, nice ppl too.Well the ones ive talked to.

i live in a mobile home in a nice area and its on the ground permanent foundation or whatever, evap cooler, nice stucko outer walls.I renovated this thing real good with new paint, new carpet and tile.Looks real sharp inside very modern yet beachy looking. My heat problem comes from the single pane windows and the evep cooler being it gets over 105 temps in summer here.So you see the concern on the crested gecko for me.I was laughing because last summer i was on here crying about the swampy heat i was dealing with and also at the same time had a major flea outbreak with like 30 bites on me.It was hell.So i just talked to my parents who co barrowed the loan for my place. They want to put real ac on it this spring!!!!!!!!!!!!!Yeeeeeaaaahhhhhhh!!!!!!Now i can get a cresty, lol.Anyone know what dual panes cost, windows that is?

oh and i asked before,my freind is a manager at a pet co here in town.I can get a deal on one and they look nice, what are the downs of getting it their and is it better for me that i know her and trusted her for many years in the industry.Im still looking at other breeders.

You should always hold the geckos before hand.

Check their jaw and if it is soft or deformed dont get it.
If it looks WAY under weight dont get it.
And just look for deformities and stuff.
AND make sure you know what they feed it there.

thats what sucks right their, seems like they all feed crickets all the time, and what ppl like is that they can eat the mix stuff so i wonder how hard it is to get them to eat the other stuff.
