Cricket breeding, and Bearded Dragon Question

I have 2 bearded dragons and when i talked to the breeder of mine he said that meal worms were not a good diet item, that they were good for a snack once in a while. I give mine crickets like 3 times a week, and greens and fruits the other days. Mine are to small for the roaches, and i do have the phobia of the roaches... i know that they cant survive or breed in the weather condit that i live in, but still freak the crap out of me.

how long can you keep them in the fridge in the "cryo" as i call it?
 
I kept and bred mealworms for years feeding geckos mostly, but fish too. A friend fed them a lot to beardeds with no issues and good growth rates. Crickets are so cheap if you buy 1000 at a time it isnt worth the hassle of breeding them.

I have never put them in fridge, so couldnt tell you.

I've heard that mealworms can cause digestion issues...

I heard that as well... but I give it to them as a treat. I wont breed bugs.. ill just go to one of the local shops and get the stuff for them. with my husband were always looking for new/ more fish.. (hes addicted to fish) lol... but the dragons are my babies. I have a German giant and a normal citrus. they are so funny.
