Cricket Butt Diet

if you don't like squishing the crickets then you should try repti-aid, i got some when i adopted my female leo and she was bone thin and not eating anything but within a few feeding she started to improve and after about a month she started to gain some tail fat. i've found that i don't even have to force feed her, if you put a little bit of the mix on their nose they will begin lick it off, once they start just continously replace the amount they lick off. it takes about 3x as long but it's a lot less stressful. i can't praise this stuff enough, without it my gecko wouldn't be alive.

There is this pre made gecko food that is only dried out fruit flies, IMO it is worse than feeding criskets because you have to spray it down with water to make it smell bad so it will attract the gecko. It smells horrible and gets red coloring all over the gecko. But i suppose it kept her barely alive for a year or so, so she must have been eating it, although for the first month i had her, it was in her tank and i never actualy saw her eating it or paying any attention to it at all.

Sadly i must report that Sally died a week after visiting the vet. I fed her everyday the cricket butt way, but in the end i suppose it wasn't enough.

You tried... sometimes abused herps make it through, sometimes not.

sorry about that, that sucks. You did the best you could, but that was one really thin leo.
