crickets as feeders

i feed my arowana crickets and there very good apart from the npise lol and if you want to remove the legs you have to put in a freezer and then after 24hours shake the container there in the legs should come off
 
Crickets are like crack & heroin for aro's. My friend had an asian aro and it only ate crickets. So don't feed them too much or they might get addicted.
 
I worry about keeping them on hand, the noise and whatnot. Also don't want any escaping. Any problems with this?
 
I raise non glass/plastic climbing roaches from s. america, no noise, breed fast. my fish like them as well as my chameleons
 
Wow, have a response thx guys for the input. I do feed a varied diet of pellets, flake, live brine, guppies, frozen blood worms, krill, crickets, and the food that i find my cichlids are most likely to get addicted to, some are already, are Hikari sinking carnivore pelllets! So I guess i should be alright then. I find I really dont have a problem with the noise, i think that the noise is naturally drowned out of my head because i've been putting up with it for so many years and the loose ones get hunted down by the beardie when i let her roam.
 
i want to feed my aro crickets, but im worried about the noise.. my mom would kill me... can i keep them outside?
 
Anybody know what to gutload in prey for fish?

For instance, what would be good for gutloading earthworms for fish?

Is there a specific product for gutloading crickets or roaches for fish?


I was told Calcium suppliments for reptiles is harmful to fish... does anybody
know if this is true?

What does it take to keep and possibly breed crickets? And far as gut-loading goes, how is that done? Will it work with earthworms also? This concept is new to me. I am searching for ideas to help in bringing out the red coloration in my Oscars.
