i don't feed MY fish crickets very ofter, they get earthworms for treats, but at the store it's fun to give them crickets, the tank is setup as an open top pond type thing, and when ya through a handfull of crickets in the tank ya just sit back and watch the water fly, lol.but yea it all depends on the store i guess, plus i don't give my reptiles crickets very often either just beceause supeworms are more convient and easier to keep alive and are more nutritious

i know where the crickets in pet store come from...HOWEVER

the pet stores do not keep their cricket bins sanitary, at least not the ones i've been to

moldy food + dead crickets = parasites

if you've ever kept reptiles, you'd see where i was coming from

i would never take the chance, as i HAVE dealt with parasite infested crickets.

I agree, I wouldn't and don't take the chance with any live foods. And you are right, many pet stores do not take care of their cricket bins. So if you are willing to take the chance of feeding live foods, then be careful.
