Fwiw many of my herps never really took to superworms, not sure about silkworms though. Only my tegu, but he'd eat about anything. I did have a mountain horned dragon who loved worms (nightcrawlers) and slugs.
i feed my bearded mealworms, pheniox worms, night crawlers, crickets, and silkworms. a veried diet is best for any herp. straight crickets is ok i quess but not ideal
I to have to ask why you can't do roaches Girl friend, wife ? just go to Walmart buy a plastic tub with a lid mabye a seal of some kind to make sure its a tight seal fill it with old egg cartens food and water and slide it into a crawl space or the back of a closet and problem solved if they ask its old aquarium stuff
It really mystifies me that people go crazy when they hear the word roach. They need to understand it's not the same pest species you find in run down apartments etc. My mom's perfectly fine with crickets, even though they smell terrible, make noise, and god forbid they escape... Dubias are silent, no odor, can't climb nor fly, and can't survive past their first molt if they escape.
im going to pitch it by them this weekend. i hate doing crickets. they are a pain in the ass they hop all over the place lol. my brother put them into there tank today when they go dropped off now i have random crickets around my room lol
