Crinum/onion plant lighting requirements?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
This onion has never grown "babies". Other ones at the pet store I work at have, but not this one. It just got very large.

Maybe it has something to do with the fact that I cover the bulb completely or my fish will make the plant float.

Yeah I have the same problem too it gets knocked out of the substrate and floats. So I put it down deeper to try and prevent that.

when mine was in the tank at my school, the roots actually went deep enough in the substrate that they got into the tank's silicone and held the plant in place... i had to be careful not to break the roots off when i took the plant out. right now mine is in a sheltered area so the fish dont knock it around.
