Ok guys what are some your tips for crystal clear water??? I know good filteration and powerheads are a start but what do you do to get it extra crispy and to stay that way?:popcorn::popcorn:

well id add watter changes to that list and a proper feeding regiment for the fish and wasteremoval during water changes for sure
some people probably use no substae aswell but i love the challenge of plants aswell as the cycleing factor
next...............
bump
dont claim to be a pro this is just what i do so on to the next person
have a good day all

personally I have never had a problem I just do my weekly water changes and daily crap scooping and that seems to do the trick

yup, must agree with everyone else, once your bb is established and youre not over feeding and overstocking, or overstocking without proper filtration, you shuold have good clear water.

Diatom filter, micron socks, or purigen are all worth trying, if you are looking for some "tricks" besides good filtration and regular water changes.

UV sterilizer will make your water unbelievably clear

my advice: don't buy Panaques :D

since this 3" little bugger is occupying my 100g, the water isn't as clear anymore...really tiny wood pieces everywhere, in the filter , etc.

I guess the wood is tasty o_0

Yeah, forgot about UVs too... they have multiple benefits.

Diatom filters will clear your water better than anything though.

No magic tricks to it.
Ultra small membranes trap the gunk.
Single digit micron filters will "crispy" up any tank.
The lowly thought of Magnum HOT 250, run with the micron cartridge can do it, and not empty your wallet.
