I would go for some smaller rocks that lay a bit lower. Cover the rock up slightly with the HC on the sides so it looks like it is slowly being consumed by the HC. that would draw more attention to the HC and the cute cherry reds in the tank

Do this and add a background. This tank is nice and has lots of potential to be even better.
