i believe polypterus and E_americanus (the owner of primitivefish.com) are the ones who bred the gar to create the croc.

We can not take credit for that...That would be Bernie Krause...We however where the first to work with them and develop husbandry / ID protocols regarding them. Much like we have been in the fore front of most Lepisosteid information available to the hobby...
