how large do they get?

I found 8 to 10 inches as adults but I will allow you to google some info now, lol.

These guys are awesome. I've wanted to get a pair for a long time. Definitely don't keep one in anything smaller then a 20 gallon long. When I get a pair of these I plan on keeping them in a 40 gallon breeder. These guys are another display species, best to keep handling to a minimum. Alex's land to water ratio is on the money. These guys live along stream banks in the wild and will use all the water you give them.

Also I must worn you that this guys have a kind of bad long term survival rate. Some just die without aparent reason. The water must be REALLY clean, shallow and with lots of aquatic plants like water ferns. Moist retreats, moss, plants, etc are must have. Also a bigger vivarium is recomended as will help on their privacy. Very interesting critters but also very delicate and better for experienced keepers only;)
