Oh, inter-species. I see the problem there. I was thinking about creation of color morphs.

well look at GTPs....

why would anyone want a designer yellow chondro- when there are yellow locales! Yeah... i guess they are knewish though. Still hard to keep them at locality level in some instances.

There are wild hybridizations as well, the gouldii indicus and salvator complexes are very good examples of that on the varanid side.

And there are instances of intergrades- some the look very much like one species or another... yet can have different characteristics... e.g. size

so you take 2 mexican rosies and keep breeding them through time and their is a chance of something unique coming out or no?What is the first step, you need to find one thats already aa bit diferent well where did that one come from.Just a glitch or what? And if you get a pair of albinos will they only have albino babies or will the chance of something even diferent come out?

many of the morphs are found out in the wild. Many of the ball python mutations we see come from wild caught snakes that have the variables. We then breed the random mutations together to get some of the ones we do today.

A pair of albinos will produce albino babies. If you breed an albino to a normal, you will get 100% het albinos...

yeah i get the het stuff and all,so most likely the 2 albinos will never give birth to something unique?By the way guys thanks for the info, other than the diferent leos and beardeds i bread witch were all your typical morphs at the time,i never studied up on how to keep or creat my own morphs. The leos always were albino or bright yellow or lvander and the beardeds i just got a real good lavender group going and a group of very orange guys, most of the babies i didnt have long enough to see how they looked as adults.

What do you mean by unique? If your looking for another mutation in it, and they are wc, you'd have to be lucky for something else to come up.
