that fish is awesome. What size tank is he in and what do you feed him?
Thanks, he's in a 75 gallon currently. Here's a partial shot of his tank..
He gets mostly clams, shrimp and the occasional snail.

Great fish and pics. If you would, would you post his setup parameters, feeding regimen, general husbandry, etc. It would help to add to the pitiful amount of info on this species should anyone be fortunate enough to be able to locate one of these puffers.
Thank you, sure..
75 gallon tank, 1 AC 110 HOB and 2 sponge filters.
PH~7.0 Temp ~80 my water is super soft so I use crushed coral as my biomedia. 30% water change per week.
I feed him either 2 of the 20 count size frozen shrimp or 3-4 freshwater clams per feeding. Feed 3-4 times per week...I do occasionally give him a large snail as a treat...I no longer feed mussels, I feel that because he can bite through their shell so easily and swallows the shards it has caused him some digestive issues in the past...just not worth it to me.
..beak maintenance...I freeze his clams as soon as I get them home. When I feed them I take them right out of the freezer and throw 1 at a time directly into his tank without thawing. It will take ~5 minutes for the aquarium water to thaw the clam enough that it will open so he can eat. During that time he will chew on the clam shell...this files down his beak really well (he can't bite through a freshwater clam shell)
some shots of that..
I'd always heard horror stories about killer puffers so initially I tried keeping him with a shoal of
Brycinus,
Distichodus and
Labeo, kind of a thug tank...they all ended up being to aggro to keep with him...now that he has all peaceful tankmates he's much happier.
The male Krib occasionally has a go at him but the puffer pretty much laughs at him when he does
