Hey Warmouth, I thought the massive pieces of wood were much too large also. When I came upon the largest one(left side of tank) I thought if it is too large I'll remove it. Well you see it stayed.
I kept seeing these very beautiful and distinctive chunks of driftwood and tree limbs at the lake and kept adding them. Most of the pieces I see are sitting on the edge or still in water. If they are on the edge, I push them back in, if they are not water logged and come back for them.
I am still collecting pieces for the 300 gallon. Trying to be prepared, the tank has a center over flow, so I am thinking of ways to cover it.
