if the filter is not cycled then there's no good baterias in the media, with a bare tank the waste produced by piranha will kick start ammonia spike. which may kill this beautiful fish.

filter sponge is cycled...

but I decided to move it next to my other flowerhorn

just to give him a little more room to swim

here he is now



hes going to a 75G tank

Just to clear up, I purchased this fish for a friend, so when he comes back from vacation, it will go directly to him



The deal on this fish is SO GOOD, I just can't let it slip away (four times cheaper than what's you expect your lfs would sell)

I hope it's not sharing the same tank with the sick flowerhorn...that's even worse than having it in a clean 5g tank. nice looking fish tho.

edit: just re-read your first post, the flowerhorn was sick, lol so all good now
