That statement was incorrect.


I'm no pH or ammonia/nitrite/nitrate wiz either but I think the statement was made presumably on the subject of nitrate toxicity where the nitraite builds up and becomes more toxic in hard water than soft. Frequent water changes relieve the tank of nitrate buildup and consequently prevents any such toxicity problems.

YES IT IS GOOD!VERY GOOD FOR THEM IT BUFFERS THE WATER AND HARDNESS IT,ALSO AFRICAN SALT THAT U CAN BUY AT LOCAL PET STORES IS REALLY GOOD IT PROVIDES SOME OF THEIR NATURAL HABITATS WATER CHEMISTRY.I PERSONALLY USE ARAGONITE IN MY TANGANYIKAN TANK AND MY FISH LOVE IT
